The emergence of the question it is the first step on the path of knowledge.
a true teacher encourage his students to ask questions and guide them toward in finding the answers.

into a theory very much simplified, the pedagogy can be divided into two categories.

the first one is that in which the student try to imitate the teacher until he becomes most often a kind of younger copy of the master.
in the Martial Arts field that can be associated with Koryu where the transmission is not limited only to techniques but also include a set of ethical and moral values.

the second one is based on transmission of a set of techniques strongly linked to a curriculum and a time interval.
this case, somehow correlated with a sports side, the information are summarizing much better, the results appear much earlier but these is no longer a whole life experience.
this method can be specify to Gendai Budō established after the Japanese Meiji Restoration.

based on my own experience, I noticed that generally most practitioners of Gendai Budō are trying to keep some traditional aspects like etiquette, ceremonial phrases or specific gestures which can occur at certain moments of the training.

it is not important what type of doctrine you choose, as long is not lost the essence for which everyone practice, namely, to become a better person in the society in which are living.

the readers of this martial art blog should understand that all the technical advices that I have wrote here do not replace the dojo training.
their purpose is meant to highlights the substance of each technique like something that should be considered as a summary.

The genuine Path

As I said in many articles before this one, the idea of contemporary perception about Martial Arts is totally different than the activity which involves combat techniques, simply because the last ones can be included in the first category, but not mandatory.

the essence of a true Martial Art it not lies just in a good physical condition, or just in philosophy, or just in etiquette, but rather in a blend of this ideas in different proportions which varies from person to person or from Dojo to Dojo.

10906089_1669535456606689_1895748577511782469_n

on this perception, there is not just only one possible method or one single and exclusively approach through which you can achieve  the outcome you seek, if you are not able to understand and to externalize your true self, and if you do not follow your own true path, you  will always lose whatever your opponent will be.

the Martial Art should not be a goal in itself, because then it transforms and becomes characterized only by the technical aspects like as  positions, angles or strengths ratio balance.

in my opinion, first and foremost, the Martial Art is a method whereby the practitioner can develop the true self, can express his will and  his identity.
even if technically a move you perform is not even that good, as long as it makes you happy and helps you eager to get beyond yourself, is more than enough for the most part.

I am sure that, beyond this aspects, there are no true shapes, patterns or directions.

I am grateful to all my teachers for theirs encouragements and support in my Kendo quest !
also, I am thankful to my training partners for all the moments spent together so far.

it was a good year, without major injuries, where we had the opportunity to learn many things together.

we should never miss that the true purpose and the primary goal for which we choose to enter in dojo consist in training of heart and spirit.
the elapsed time in Kendo is seen in patched equipment and in aizome leaking from the fabric of hakama and gi.

The synchronization of mind, sword and body is one of the characteristics of a proper fighting technique and by far one of the most difficult to achieve.

the further development of every kenshi depends by understanding this aspect.
by ignoring this concept anyone is brushed aside from the true martial way.

Any serious practitioner knows that the Martial Art does not start and does not end at the door of the Dojo, just like it is said that the Art is transmitted from heart to heart.

this aspect involves commitment and sincerity, both from the student as well from the master.

if these two aspects mentioned above are not simultaneously fulfilled, the genuine transmission can not occur because there is no honor in the absence of ethical values.

when the teacher feels that his student does not looking for the true Way it is good to stop the relationship before any significant complications interfere.

the arrogance, the selfishness, the greed, the envy and the absence of a genuine set of values, alienates and turn out from the real Martial Way any practitioner regardless of its talent or experience level.

Scopul urmarit cu precadere prin keiko este exersarea modurilor prin care poti identifica deschideri existente in apararea partenerului cu care studiezi waza in timpul antrenamentului.

dupa mii de ore de keiko in dojo, observarea oponentului si aplicarea strategiilor exersate in timpul antrenamentelor in lupta pot conduce catre obtinerea unor rezultate favorabile aproape indiferent de gradul detinut sau de nivelul experientei oponentului.

10403529_1587703174789918_4158443564117546060_n
